It’s a question we keep getting: “Can we just get this from AWS Marketplace?”
Today, the answer is yes.
OrbisID Community Edition is now available on AWS Marketplace — free to deploy, with no licence fee. You only pay for the AWS infrastructure you use to run it.

Why AWS Marketplace, and why now
In our conversations with IAM and security teams — many of whom already run the bulk of their infrastructure on AWS — a recurring theme has been procurement friction. Standing up a new self-hosted tool outside of existing cloud billing and governance workflows adds friction that many teams, understandably, don’t have appetite for.
Listing OrbisID Community Edition on AWS Marketplace removes that friction. If your organisation already procures software through AWS, you can now deploy OrbisID the same way you deploy everything else — through your existing AWS account, your existing billing relationship, and your existing approval workflows. And because OrbisID deploys directly into your own AWS account, your data stays exactly where it is — within your network, under your control. Nothing is sent to us or to any third party.
What you get with Community Edition
OrbisID discovers, classifies, and reports on privileged access across your environment — surfacing the kind of unmanaged, orphaned, or unmonitored privileged accounts that sit outside your PAM vault’s visibility. Community Edition gives you a genuine, functional way to try that out on a small scale:
- Discovery across a curated set of system connectors
- Core Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to highlight where privileged access needs attention
- A single-user, self-hosted deployment — nothing leaves your network
- The same underlying platform as our paid tier, so what you see is what you’d scale into
It’s deliberately scoped to give you a genuine, working evaluation of what OrbisID can do — full production software, running with the connector and user limits of the Community tier.

Getting started
Once you’ve subscribed on the listing, there are two ways to launch OrbisID Community Edition, depending on how much control you want over the setup:
- One-click launch from AWS Marketplace — the fastest route, with minimal configuration required. Good for a first look or a quick evaluation deployment.
- Launch from the EC2 Console — a more scalable method that gives you full control over instance configuration, sizing, and networking. Better suited if you’re deploying into an environment with existing conventions to follow.
- Find OrbisID Community Edition on AWS Marketplace
- Subscribe (no charge for the software licence)
- Choose your launch method — one-click, or via EC2 Console
- Log in and run your first scan

Beyond Community Edition
For teams that outgrow the Community Edition’s limits — more systems, more users, scheduled scanning, the full KRI suite, and attestation workflows — OrbisID Pro is available directly, with an AWS Marketplace listing on the way for teams who’d prefer to procure and pay through AWS end-to-end.
We’re also bringing OrbisID to Azure Marketplace — coming soon for teams standardised on Azure.
